Bless their souls that they were willing to indulge me in this way! So Mom and Dad would tell me that they weren’t quite yet ready to die – but we would then go on to do a wonderful year-in-review – all three of us stepping back from the moment to reflect upon our lives, the choices we had made during the previous year, our hopes for the upcoming year, and where we felt we were along the path of our life.
